Company History
Blue Note Pros started as two separate companies with two separate reputations — Pr!or!ty R00fing on one side, Plumber for Hire on the other — both built the same way: word of mouth and hard work. In 2026, we brought them together under one name, because that’s really what we’d been all along.
Before it was Blue Note Pros, it was just Shay climbing a ladder because somebody needed help, and Alex under a sink because a pipe wasn’t going to fix itself. That’s still the whole operation, just bigger now.
A blue note is the note that isn’t quite where sheet music says it should be. It bends a little. It’s got soul. It’s the note that makes the whole song mean something.
Shay’s been playing music around Shreveport his whole life, so when the name came up, it just fit. A blue note company doesn’t play it safe or stiff — it plays it real, even when that means bending the usual playbook to actually take care of the customer in front of us.

Brand Story
Shay grew up right outside Shreveport in Stonewall and went to school at North DeSoto and Evangel. When he first got into roofing, he noticed nobody in town wanted to do small leak repairs. So he taught himself repairs, one roof at a time, so homeowners on a budget didn’t have to pay for more than they needed.
On the plumbing side, we joined forces with a crew of master plumbers who believed Shreveport deserved a team that treated a clogged sink with the same seriousness as a five-figure commercial job.
Two founders, two trades, one belief: take care of people first, and the business takes care of itself.

We’re not a call center with a truck. Every name on this page is somebody who’ll actually show up at your door, boots on, ready to work.
Community Involvement
Our motto is simple: serve others, work hard, have fun. It’s how we spend our Saturdays, not just a poster in the breakroom. We sponsor local youth sports teams (yes, we’ll wear the, um, unfavorable team colors), and we’re active in our churches and the neighborhoods we call home.
This year we’re taking it further with our first mission trip: partnering with a local church to send roofing and plumbing crews to rebuild in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward. Closer to home, we’re planning quarterly community projects in Shreveport. When hurricanes tore through South Louisiana, we put crews on roofs down there for free.
This isn’t for the marketing buzz. It’s just who we are.
Meet Our Family
Shay and Hannah are the roofing half of Blue Note Pros: a husband-and-wife duo who turned a shared dream into a business (and, thanks to Shay’s side hustle, a spot in the local band scene). Shay’s the guy who taught himself the trade, and Hannah runs point on, well, pretty much everything else. Between the two of them, they’ve built a company that treats every roof like it’s their own house.

While he doesn’t work in the day-to-day roofing or plumbing operations, he’s an important part of the family behind the business and the leadership team helping shape where Blue Note Pros is headed.

Blue Note Pros holds an active license with the Louisiana State Board of Contractors for both roofing and plumbing work, and we carry full insurance on every job, residential or commercial, with bonding available for projects that require it.
