Blue Note Pros formed when two independent Shreveport companies, one roofing, one plumbing, came together into a single brand. Here’s the real story behind that roofing and plumbing company consolidation, and why we did it.
How It Started
Our story started on Shreveport rooftops. For years, our crew built its reputation one leak repair at a time, under a name most of our neighbors still remember.
Plenty of great bands played their early gigs under a name they eventually outgrew, and so did we. When it was time for a change, we kept our crews, our licenses and our customers, and picked a name big enough for everything we wanted to become.
What Didn’t Change
A name is just words on a piece of paper. The people who show up at your door, the licenses we carry and the way we treat your home are exactly the same. All that changed is the logo on the truck. If we fixed your roof last year, the same folks will answer the phone this year.
How It’s Going
A fresh start felt like the right time to grow beyond roofing. Plumber for Hire was already an established plumbing company backed by a team of master plumbers, and our two crews had been doing business together for years. Bringing plumbing and roofing under one name wasn’t a stretch. It just made official what was already true.
The Bigger Picture
Blue Note Pros is built to grow. We're expanding into Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, and we'll add trades beyond roofing and plumbing down the line. We needed a name that wasn't tied to one person or one service, and this one holds all of it.
Think of it as the headliner that brings everyone onto the same stage. Two names Shreveport already knew now play under one name with room for whatever comes next. Here's how it all adds up:

Yeah, that one. Founded by Shay in 2020, we still fixing what's actually broken instead of selling a replacement. Different name on the door, same guys swinging the hammer.
Founded by Leighton in 2022, alongside a master plumber, Plumber for Hire started small and grew into a crew that actually cares about the community it serves. The van's got a new name on it. The cargo tidiness is still a work in progress.
We combined both trades under Blue Note Pros, so you get one company for roofing and plumbing across Shreveport-Bossier and North Louisiana, residential or commercial.

Meet Our Team
Shay grew up right outside Shreveport in Stonewall and went to school at North DeSoto and Evangel. When he first got into roofing, he noticed nobody in town wanted to do small leak repairs. So he taught himself repairs, one roof at a time, so homeowners on a budget didn’t have to pay for more than they needed.
On the plumbing side, the same instinct was there: a crew of master plumbers who believed Shreveport needed a team that treated a clogged sink with the same seriousness as a five-figure commercial job.
One team, two trades, one belief: take care of people first, and the business takes care of itself.
